Executive Director & Founder- Reganne O’Brien, MPH

Reganne O’Brien is the Founder and Executive Director of The Warrior in HER, a trauma-informed, wellness-driven nonprofit on a mission to support women and girls navigating chronic physical and mental health challenges. She leads the organization with both personal insight and professional expertise—rooted in her own battle for healing, equity, and dignity in healthcare.

At just 19 years old, Reganne lost her colon due to progressive pancolitis and early-stage colorectal cancer. She has since been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune and chronic conditions, including hidradenitis suppurativa, pseudotumor cerebri, ADD, anxiety, and depression. Her lived experience as a young woman fighting to be heard—and fighting to stay alive—ignited her passion to build something that didn’t yet exist: a community that believes women the first time.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Pre-Law minor from Gannon University, a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Kent State University, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from Walden University, where her research focuses on trauma, prevention, and peer-led wellness.

Through The Warrior in HER , Reganne has built a growing network of support that includes care package programs, financial grants and scholarships, and wellness workshops that meet women where they are—offering comfort, empowerment, and connection during some of life’s most difficult seasons. Under her leadership, the organization has served hundreds of women with compassion, community, and evidence-informed care.

A single mom, survivor, TEDx speaker, and systems-change advocate, Reganne leads with heart, resilience, and an unwavering belief that healing is possible—and that no woman should have to walk through it alone.

If you’re new to The Warrior in HER, we invite you to schedule an intake call with Reganne to get started. She’d be honored to walk alongside you.
